Page 1 of 3 The transport of nets with helicopter requires an excellent coordination:
- Preparation of nets’ widths on the ground
- Coordination between the rope workers in the cliff and the pilot
- Unrolling of nets from the top down so that rope workers are always working beneath a section of cliff that has already been covered, reducing the risk of debris above them being dislodged.
- Fastening with adjacent net panels
Rockfall protection works in La Réunion - RN1 Coastal Road Numerous helicopter movements have been necessary to install the wire netting (about 850 movements) or the ring nets (about 3200 movements).
