CAN C Rockfall Barriers
Our products - ROCKFALL PROTECTION

A protected structure, efficient even after several impacts to stop rockslides ranging
from 2 t. at 50 m.p.h. to 10 t. at 70 m.p.h.

They comply with the French standard NF P 95-308, classes 4 to 9 i.e. 500 to 5,000 KJ (370 x 103 ft.-pounds to 3,700 x 103 ft.-lbs.)

Principle of operation:

CAN C® rockfall barriers are able to absorb high impact forces due to the stress-strain characteristics of the net and also the dynamic motion of the support structure under loading.

Avantages:

The CAN C® rockfall barriers do not have vulnerable structures upstream or in the plane of the netting like most traditional fences.
In the CAN barriers the damage sensitive support structure of cables and posts are all located downstream from the net and are protected from direct impact (ASM or Rocco®).
CAN C® rockfall barriers do no have "one shot" irreversible braking system like many traditional fences. The absorption and recovery motion of the support posts enable the barriers to remain efficient after repeated impacts. This significantly reduces the maintenance of CAN C® rockfall barriers.
CAN C® rockfall barriers have a "fuse" system that ensures minimal damage to the components should the barrier be subjected to excessive impact loads.
